The Barbizon Palace is one of Amsterdam's most distinctive hotels and the flagship of NH Hotels. Located about half an hour from Amsterdam International Airport, this hotel is in the heart of Amsterdam. The Barbizon Palace is located in the immediate vicinity of the main entertainment and shopping areas as well as the financial district. This luxury-class property is located in the historical St. Olofs Chapel, which is connected to the hotel by an underground passage. The Barbizon Palace has installed modern luxury behind the restored facades of 19 historic buildings, most of which date from the 17th century.
The hotel has 275 luxury rooms, all elegantly and efficiently appointed. Many of the rooms are located in the restored 17th and 18th century part of the hotel, with its original oak beams and rafters. Along with all the facilities and services one may expect from a world-class hotel, all rooms are equipped with individual air conditioning, direct-dial telephone, data point, coffee and tea facilities, private safe and double glazed windows. The Barbizon Palace is quickly becoming a fashionable meeting place for lovers of gourmet food and exclusive dining. Breakfast, tasty snacks and daily specials are served in Hudson's Terrace, the more informal restaurant.
